What an exceptional practice !! I brought my elderly parents here for general check-up and cleaning. Dr. Klein’s gentleness and patience and thoroughness were extraordinary. Her office has state of the art equipment and infrastructure. I am so happy we found this practice. She made what could have been a stressful and difficult experience easy and painless. Thanks Dr. Klein! I never write reviews, but my experience with Apex was phenomenal. The entire staff was welcoming, engaging, and kind. Scheduling was easy and they have free parking available at the site. Dr. Han and Dr. M were so easy to talk to; they are young, vibrant dentists running an exceptional practice. I would recommend them highly to anyone I know. The team at Apex Dental works seamlessly to make sure that you are safe from the Covid 19 virus, very much an informed patient and the work they do is professional, thorough and timely. Aleesa set-up my appointment and welcomed me, Jasmine explained how the appointment would go and also polished my teeth. Dr Han listened to my dental history and came up with options to move forward and Dr Kang patiently cleaned my pearly whites.

I’ve been coming here for years, and it still feels like the staff genuinely cares every single time. The receptionist remembers my name, the hygienists explain what they’re doing without rushing, and the doctor makes sure I feel comfortable before starting anything. My crown looks completely natural, and the process was easier than I imagined. It’s rare to find that mix of skill and kindness.

I knew I had teeth that needed to be extracted and replaced with implants, and was already seeing an oral surgeon. When I went into Apex dental for a cleaning, I told them I had already had one extraction/implant done by the oral surgeon, and had a follow up in a few weeks for the others. I told them I wasn't interested in getting the extractions and implants done with them, because I wanted to be sedated (which they said they couldn't do), and I wanted to follow the plan that I had already agreed to with the oral surgeon. They then tried to high pressure sell me even though I repeatedly said no. It was super uncomfortable and I feel like I spent half the appointment turning down their sales pitch. I had had good experiences with Dr. Horng and Dr. Aleman before, but they have since left the practice, and this incident was the final straw for me.

Going to this dental office is my literal worst nightmare and I remember why I stopped going there for about 2 years and opt for a different dentist. They were my dentist since 2017 and they kept pressuring me to have night guard which I know i will not wear at nights. But everytime I come for basic cleaning they would try to sell me additional services I don't need. This time was the last straw. After a long break from them I came back for basic cleaning, After 3 hours of waiting to get basic cleaning done they convince me that I need deep cleaning which cost $600 plus which I put on the cherry credit card which they suggested I should sign up for since it was outside of my budget. I booked another appointment to come back to get this done since the approval for the Cherry credit was taking a while. Fast forward today when I came back for deep cleaning they suggested I should get dental fillers for my teeth which cost $300 plus. They never mention me this before in the previous appointment and I already explained to them over and over again that I do not want to do this... they even took an Xray and saw that my teeth was in perfect condition, yet they still try to sell me stuff I don't need. These people are so unethical and lack basic understanding and will do whatever it takes for you to get services that you don't necessarily need. Oh and did I mention after several attempts at convincing me to get the fillers even with additional discounts and I refused, they pivoted to waiving the fee and just billing the insurance the cost, to say I was shocked was an understatement. Then they let me sign a paper (which I initially try to refuse signing) to say that they have disclose to me cost of treatment. They are like predators and I honestly feel so violated. They are the most horrible and unethical dental practice in the Northern Virginia area. And you should take their treatment suggestions with a grain of salt.

I will never go back to Apex Dental. I was a patient there for three years and deeply regret it. Prior to becoming a patient, I’d never had any dental issues. Yet, nearly every appointment, they told me I needed a cavity filled or a crown—eventually convincing me to get three crowns. At my last visit, they pushed for three more crowns—despite me having no pain, no visible damage, and healthy-looking teeth. When I expressed hesitation, they insisted I get at least one done that day. I reluctantly agreed. Afterward, I sought a second opinion, and the new dentist was horrified. They told me my two remaining teeth that Apex dental suggested I get a crown were absolutely perfect and that placing a crown would have been completely unnecessary. To make matters worse, my insurance denied the claim for the crown I let them do, stating that based on my X-rays, the procedure wasn’t justified. I wish I hadn’t let them put any crowns at all in my mouth.

The whole process was seamless from beginning to end. The were friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference. I really appreciated how the doctor explained all the options without any push to upsell. my implant done was comforting, and I felt completely confident in care.
